They say it’s never work if you love what you do, and since we primarily work in Food and Bev, it’s helpful that we love to dine out. Here are some of the best restaurants around Fort Wayne from the experts here at Catalyst!
The Oyster Bar – Jeff Anderson, Senior Creative Director.
Located on Calhoun Street, you can’t go wrong with this local seafood spot. What does Jeff love about it? The small and cozy atmosphere and the amazing staff all make The Oyster Bar a Fort Wayne tradition.
Paula’s on Main – Robin Kucinsky, Accounting Manager.
A seafood joint where you can not only get some fresh fish to cook at home but also get a great meal. Robin’s insider tip for dining at Paula’s? “Request table five, a roomy seating for two, the library table, there is a box on the shelf with many notes, poems, quotes and random thoughts that people have contributed over the years”.
Proximo – Molly Link, Director of Account Services.
Proximo brought Latin-inspired cuisine to Downtown Fort Wayne in 2018 and has provided excellent flavors and service ever since. The modern look, creative menu, and top-notch service make this a must see. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it’s in walking distance from our office!
Italian Connection – Laurel O’Rourke, Digital Manager.
Blink and you may miss it; Italian Connection is located in a house off Taylor street serving authentic and freshly made Italian food. The small venue and dim lighting make for a great romantic evening! The chef and owner usually serenades diners towards the end of the night! Be sure to make a reservation as seating is limited each night.
NAWA – Amanda Mahan, Senior Account Executive.
Located on The Landing, NAWA elevates Asian fusion with a fun urban-vibe and expansive cocktail list! The menu is affordable and offers a ton of options for everyone.
Fish House – Sam Minnick, Art Director.
Another seafood market and restaurant that is relatively new in town, the atmosphere lends itself well to a great date night. The salad bar is impressive in addition to their wide variety of seafood and excellent cocktails.
Umi – Christy Drake, Production Manager.
Located on the southwest end of town, Umi came to town in 2016 with an emphasis on craft sushi. The ingredients are unique and you’ll find nearly every type of sushi you could imagine. The atmosphere is hip and modern with private areas for parties or more private dining functions.
