7 Ways To Increase Social Media Engagement

    By Catalyst | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 25 January, 2018 | 3

https-blogs-images-forbes-com-jaysondemers-files-2014-08-social-media-marketingSocial media is known for being a great tool for reaching your target market in a cost-effective way. It only makes sense to use this method seeing as there are over 1.9 billion social media users, which could increase by 2.5 billion this year. There are many developments and trends that are on the horizon that every business should try to take advantage of. But even with cool tools and a large number of people, businesses and organizations can still struggle to gather followers and bring engagement to their pages.

We have seven ways to help!

    Contests and Giveaways

Everyone loves free stuff right? Promoting a contest or giving away free things gives users a reason to interact with your page. Asking people to share your content to win a prize not only encourages them to engage with your brand, but it also gets your post in front of more eyes.

Tailor Your Content To The Platform

Each social media platform has its pros and cons. Similarly, each also have their own personalities and ways to use them more effectively. Developing the same content for both Facebook and Twitter may save you time but the content will be more effective on one than it will be for the other. Develop content that is specific to the platform’s strengths.

    Use Hashtags

Hashtags are one of the best ways for people to find info on different topics they are interested in. More people will be able to find your content when they are browsing the hashtag that you use.

Posting Content At The Right Time

Each platform has its own peak times for the highest engagement possible. For example, Thursday is one of the highest engagement days on Facebook. Posting on that day can help you bring in more engagement.

    Highlight Your Culture

Showing users and followers what’s behind the curtain isn’t a bad idea sometimes. Company outings, fun times at the office, or posting about an employee can help users to connect with your content more.

Join In On The Holiday Fun

Holidays are some of the highest engagement days of the year. This is due to users being on vacation or more interested in what’s happening on social media. Holidays also see an increase in digital sales as well.

Reply To Users Who Connect With You

You put a lot of work into increasing engagement to your page and posts. When a user leaves a comment or asks a question, reply to those as quickly as possible. Make your followers feel heard and they will continue to be engaged later on.

Social media engagement is a great way to gauge what is working and what isn’t when it comes to your overall digital marketing strategy. Need help increasing your engagement? Give us a shout!
