    Video Content is King

    Content is a crucial part of social media marketing for every company. Having plenty of images to share has always been important, but the demand for video has become a key way to increase viewer activity on your social media accounts.

     

    Video content includes vlogs, GIFS, live videos, and much more. It is a staple in consumers’ lives, and the new name of the game for digital marketing. Companies who use videos can grow revenue 49% faster than businesses who don’t. This content can also increase landing page conversions by 80% or more. As the social media world evolves, so do the ways you can successfully market your business. Video content gives you a chance to show off your professional and polished side, while also proving you can produce raw and natural content with authenticity.

     

    There are many important factors to remember when trying to create top-notch video content. First, you should be creative and have a clear point. Next, titles are great ways to catch people’s attention and using keywords help keep a concise number of links. It is also important to make your thumbnails engaging and eye-catching, while also using tags properly. Finally, where you distribute your videos is perhaps the most crucial step in creating video content. The videos you create should always be shared on your website, along with social media platforms.

     

    We recently compared static image views versus video views on Pinterest for our client, Tyson Foods Deli Division in a program that educates and inspires consumers on how to use prepared food products. In a test using a recipe for Pulled Ribs Garlic Texas Toast, the static image received 40 views, while the video received 2.1k views – 52 times as many as the classic pin! Similarly, another pin for Chicken Parmesan Hoagies resulted in the static image receiving 198 views, but 1.3k video views. (Note: this was all organic and there were no ad dollars devoted to this test.) This data proves that video content is becoming more effective, and disrupting traditional consumer feeds while attracting attention. Videos also allow you to add multiple tags to increase views and impressions.
