    How to Successfully Incorporate Social Media into Campaigns

    Social media has become much more prevalent in marketing campaigns. Companies around the globe are using social media and seeing an increase in ROI for their clients. In 2015, 46% of online users counted on social media when making a purchase decision.

     

    The advancements of social media marketing and measuring analytics have related in U.S. B2B marketers being projected to spend more than $100 billion on social media advertising by 2017.

     

    Stats show that social is where it’s at. It is not a want, but a need. Whether your campaign’s goal is exposure or that precious click through that could lead to a purchase, social media is a must on the digital side.

     

    It’s easy to incorporate social media into your campaign strategy, but how do you make it successfully impact your goals?

     

    Create. You have all your social platforms in place, now what? Content is the life and death of your social. Content across different social platforms must align with your campaign goals and engage users. Videos are still all the rage and your campaign should capitalize on that. Video is four times more engaging than static content. If video is not your thing, a picture goes a long way and an infographic is even better.

     

    Measure. Once you have all your content in place, the next step is huge. Measuring what source is driving traffic to your page or website is crucial in maintaining your marketing strategy and knowing what areas need a boost. Ongoing analytics need to be in place and tracked to see the success of a targeted campaign over an extended time period. Every social platform is expanding their analytics to better help marketers track each click and page visit.

     

    Build. A successful social media campaign draws people to your site, Facebook page, or Twitter account. More and more, users want to connect with brands that create a community. Building up a community for the users that support your brand keeps them there and results in quality consumers who are loyal brand advocates.
