    Big Brands Take On Delivery

    Food delivery has become ever more important in the recent years. People are busier and rely on the advancements taking place in the delivery industry. From one-click orders to robots delivering your favorite pizza, the food industry continues to step into the future.

     

    Recently we blogged about the emergence of different food delivery apps. Now bigger brands, such as Uber, Amazon, and Lyft have continued to launch their services in new cities.

     

    UberEATS hit the U.S. scene in March and more recently expanded into new markets. The app lets you opt for delivery from about a hundred restaurants in your area. UberEATS offers service from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. everyday (varies by city), and you can see how long it will take for the Uber to get your food from the restaurant to you.

     

    Want to know what’s even cooler about UberEATS? Instant delivery. 10 minutes. Every day, depending on city, Instant Delivery features three to five dishes that can be brought to you between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during weekdays. Talk about convenience.

     

    The largest U.S. retailer, Walmart, announced earlier this month that they are teaming up with Uber and Lyft to go the extra mile with grocery delivery. With Amazon Fresh now launched, Walmart saw this as an opportunity to compete with other brick and mortar retailers. The brands that were taking you from home to work are now delivering your meal or groceries straight to your door.
