    Factors that Influence Food and Bev Trends

    There are many factors for food and bev that cause constant changes in the industry. This requires brands to keep up with those trends.

    An example of a change in the industry is the natural progression of how new products are introduced and will continue to increase the production speed as it has in the past decade or so. Some of the other factors that influence trends include cultural demand, innovation, and research. It’s up to brands to take advantage of food and bev growth opportunities – here are some of the latest trends:

     

    Technology 

    Consumers have a ton of different ways to research products. That includes info about our favorite foods. People look for different ways to create their favorite snacks, healthier foods, and other information about what they consume. Brands should continue to use technology to connect with consumers and provide them with the content they are looking for. Using the data from what consumers are researching can give brands more of an idea on emerging trends and new products. For example, we worked with Tyson Deli to educate shoppers on how to incorporate prepared foods into their meal by using digital advertising technology.

     

    Companies Merging 

    More than ever, brands are joining forces to continue to be successful in food and bev. This helps brands to add product lines and develop new ideas to keep up with the current trends. Brands are also joining other companies as a more economical way to develop new products.

     

    E-commerce 

    E-commerce may be one of the biggest factors that have influenced food and bev. Whether it’s for work or to watch their favorite show on Netflix, people use their phones or computers for many hours of the day. Purchasing food and beverage items online has significantly grown as well. Online grocery sales are projected to reach $100 billion by 2025.
