    Enhancing Your E-Commerce Efforts On Social Media

    Brands are always looking for different ways to develop fun and exciting social media content that will keep loyal fans returning and new followers coming in. The intriguing and sometimes difficult part is trying to decide which pieces of content will help accomplish your goals. One thing we do know is that people are attracted to content that provides some sort of benefit to them.

    There are two pieces of content that have proven to be some of the best options in accomplishing generating awareness and boosting e-commerce sales through social media.

     

    Social Media Coupons

    A social coupon is a digital version of the traditional coupon promoted and distributed on networks like Facebook. Instead of having to look through the mail or sign up for great deals from our favorite brands, we can save them to our phones or computers right from the brand’s page. Facebook coupon campaigns allow for users to receive a code that can be pulled up on their mobile phone. They can also be used on the brand’s Facebook shop where they can enter the code at checkout. 77% of consumers spend $10 – $50 more than anticipated when using a mobile coupon!

     

    Social Media Contests 

    Winning something is a very strong motivator and everyone likes free stuff, right? Using your social media accounts to run a branded contest not only can promote a new or popular product but it can incentivize people to follow and engage. Running a contest that requires followers to share your content helps build awareness for users that you may not have otherwise reached. 30% of people who follow brands or sign up for newsletter came as a result of a social media contest. After the contest is complete, the winners can post what they have won which can bring in more engagement too. This is an opportunity for user-generated content to be used as well!
