    Every day, we are exposed to some sort of marketing or advertising. Most people are exposed to between 4,000 – 10,000 advertisements a day in some form. This could be from seeing ads on mobile apps, commercials on TV, and display ads on our favorite websites. Most of the time, we don’t even realize how many ads we are exposed to every day.

    One version of advertising is starting to make a comeback and that’s email marketing. Email marketing has made many strides when it comes to how effective it is at grabbing our attention. One reason for that is because many of the emails we get from companies are at our own request. Implementing this type of advertising into your strategy is a must in 2018!

     

    We have compiled a short list of tips on effective email marketing.

     

    Make Emails More Personal

    Customers are all about personalization. More often than not, people see general emails from brands and skip past them or even send them to their junk mail. 52% of consumers Include their name and personalized offers to make the email cater to the specific customer. Making branded emails personal for each recipient will increase your email’s open rate, which will increase other key metrics!

     

    Clever Call To Actions

    The call to action in the email is one of the most important aspects of your email. Your CTA should be contextually linked to the rest of the content. This should be actionable and clever because it is the greatest opportunity for email to turn into website and app traffic or a conversion.

     

    Incorporate An Email Frequency Preference Tool

    One of the biggest ways to have your email labeled as junk or spam is sending emails too frequently. Implementing an email frequency preference gives your target audience the option of how often they receive your brand’s emails. Your audience is more likely to take the action that you would like if they don’t feel their inbox is being flooded with your advertisements.
